Regenerated Cellulosic Fibres – Nature Transformed into Fabric
Regenerated cellulosic fibres are made from natural cellulose, usually obtained from wood or other plant sources. Unlike cotton or linen, the cellulose is processed and transformed into new fibres. This family includes viscose, modal and lyocell, while bamboo cellulose is most commonly used to produce bamboo viscose. These fibres are generally soft, breathable and absorbent, but their feel and performance vary depending on the fibre and fabric construction.
Regenerated Cellulosic Fibres at Uniqueama
At Uniqueama, regenerated cellulosic fibres are chosen for garments where softness, comfort, breathability and a beautiful drape are important. Depending on the fibre and fabric construction, I use them for dresses, blouses, tops, skirts and trousers, always matching the material to the character of the design.
